Our alumni includes current chefs, restaurant owners, winemakers, craft brewers, food entrepreneurs, cookbook editors, organic farmers, artisan butchers, food photographers, mothers, fathers, restaurant managers, sommeliers, and more! From Michelin Star restaurants in the Bay Area and Europe to traveling chefs based in Asia, our former students stay in touch for years after graduating, reinforcing the professional and personal bonds fostered during this intimate setting.


Our staff works closely with students to secure them a position to complete their externship requirements. We have an unparalleled success rate in job placement for students who successfully complete their externship and graduate from the program.


Although the college does not provide student housing, we can provide suggestions and advice for finding a place to stay.


Each semester our students work together to prepare a multi-course luncheon for up to 80 guests daily as a way to gain a real-time experience of working in a fine dining restaurant. Past “restaurants” have earned Napa Valley Cooking School students a reputation for creative decor, excellent service and superb cuisine.


Napa Valley Cooking School has long standing relationships with local wine country businesses that are equally focused on sustainability. Our list continues to grow year to year. Students of the program have access to the following list in many networking opportunities.
